Feels like forever since I posted anything, even a simple hello. I know this is very late but, how were everyone's holidays? Well at the end of last month, my honey and I took off to see his fav football team .:.The Dallas Cowboys.:. play against the Baltimore Ravens. Well as everyone already knows, the Cowboys were embarrassingly beaten by the Ravens. But we had so much fun the whole time. Except for when I got sick at the game. It was at night and it was freezing! So I had a cold through Christmas =(. But got over it! Hopefully I can successfully post some pics on here of our good time! Look At The Top Post =)
didn't really get anything "beauty wise" for X-mas. But my kids did get me some perfume for part of my gift. I got Burberry The Beat and it smells awesome!!
This weekend is going to be just a stay at home weekend relaxing. No plans whatsoever. I don't know why I even bothered with makeup. I guess sometimes a girl wants to feel pretty for no reason. So here's my FOTD☺

One thing that I struggle with is my oily skin. Always have, always will. Well the other day I was browsing through MakeupAlley's product reviews section when I came across a review for Arrowroot Powder. A couple of reviewers praised this natural product! It helped control their oil better then anything that they had ever tried before. Plus, it was super affordable. Well after reading about it, I really wanted to get my hands on it! I know that this is sold at most natural food stores but downside is, my tiny town does not have any natural food stores. So I headed on over to Ebay. I found a ton of listings. One seller wanted about $4 plus shipping for a 2oz bag. I was just about to purchase when I saw another seller, (Pa Dutch Fine Teas & Spices) To my surprise they wanted even less for a bigger bag! So I decided to purchase. I ended up spending $4.54 all together for a 4oz bag. I figured that if it didn’t work out for me that all I would have ended up losing was $4.54. Not bad. As soon as it arrived I wanted to see how it worked. I washed my face, used primer, then dusted a little on with a stippling brush, then applied my mmu. I could not get over how great this stuff worked! Nothing has ever kept my skin shine free. I have tried many finishing powders and priming powders. But just like the other reviewers, nothing has ever worked like this! Now although some shine might peek through after a good, long couple of hours, it is totally worth it. I am usually shiny within 30min normally. So hours of matte skin makes me a ton more happy. I wore this for my son’s b-day because I knew that the camera’s were going to be flashing off the hook. I was very happy that I did not have to keep grabbing for the tissue to blot my face. It was nice and comfortable. I transferred some into a 20gr jar from TKB Trading. Works great! On a side note. I did try this the other day with no primer. I had some breakouts but it could have been a number of things. Like it was unbearably hot in the house that day. That will usually cause me to break out. But if for some reason if it was the powder (because some people say that sometimes Rice Powder, Cornstarch, etc. can clog pores), I know that using it with the primer works very well. Is it because the primer creates a barrier on the face so other products don’t melt into your pores? Well I’m guessing that that is the case. So will I add the arrowroot powder to my everyday routine? Yes!! I can’t see myself being without it from now on. I have a pretty good supply and it should last me for a nice long time. If you have never tried or eevn heard of Arrowroot Powder, check out the reviews on it @ MakeupAlley.com. Hope it will give hope to anybody that suffers from the oilies like me!
